American Rugby Premiership, USA Rugby Premier Competition

For 15 years, Boston RFC participated in the Rugby Super League, the top division in USA Rugby. After the 2012 season, the structure of the top competition in the United States was changed, leading to the creation in 2014 of the American Rugby Premiership. The American Rugby Premiership (ARP) is an elite American rugby competition, and the only elite/premiership competition officially sanctioned by USA Rugby. Consisting of five teams in its inaugural year, the ARP raises the standard of competition for its members to a level beyond normal Division 1 play.

In its inaugural year of competition, the champion of the American Rugby Premiership will challenge the champion of the Pacific Rugby Premiership. The runner-up of the ARP will enter the USA Rugby Division 1 National Playoffs.
