Boston RFC is a member of the New England Rugby Football Union, Division II. The club's goal is to compete for the USA Rugby National Championship, and compete each summer in NERFU Cup 7s Series tournament competitions.
The New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU) is the official governing body of rugby in the six New England States, overseeing 19 distinct divisions of league play and more than 6,000 active players. The Mission of NERFU is to manage, serve, and promote the game of rugby in the New England area, at all levels of play; to assist member teams and participants in their various forms of involvement with the game; to adhere to all the Laws of the Game; and to encourage and facilitate the involvement of as many people as possible in rugby activities.
USA Rugby, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is the national governing body for the sport of rugby in the U.S. and serves as the sport's official representative to the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Rugby Board (IRB).
Their mission is to achieve and maintain high levels of quality in all aspects of rugby, while their vision is to develop America into a world rugby power both on and off the field. USA Rugby strives to accomplish these goals by providing competitive and educational opportunities to players, coaches, referees and administrators.
